COVID-19: Nurses suspended over patient’s death

Four nurses at Grey Hospital in King William’s Town have been suspended because of the death of a patient. It is understood the nurses refused to help the patient suspected to have COVID-19 because they did not have proper protective gear.

One nurse who wished to remain anonymous said the suspended health workers had insufficient personal protective equipment and could not assist the patient.
