3 220 new COVID-19 infections, 8 deaths recorded in SA
3,220 new infections have been recorded.
Over 2,500 of those are from Gauteng. The Western Cape follows with 121 cases.
North West recorded 116 infections, while Kwazulu-Natal reported 110.
The Eastern Cape recorded the least cases with 21.
The positivity rate rose to 9.2 percent.
Eight more people have died, taking the death toll to almost 90,000.
