COVID-19 in SA: 7,983 new cases, 299 deaths

The National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) reported 7,983 new COVID-19 cases in South Africa in the last 24 hours.
A total of 299 more COVID-19-related deaths take the death toll to 77,440. The Western Cape has recorded over 2,100 new cases.

After Orlando Pirates’ loss to Moroka Swallows yesterday, actress Pearl Thusi trolled the team’s midfielder, Thembinkosi Lorch via several Instagram posts today (15 August).
