COVID-19: Government explain family visit ban on level three of the lockdown

The National Coronavirus Command Council has clarified some of the regulations that remain in place.

President Cyril Ramaphosa announced that the country would remain on level three of the lockdown. Family visits remain prohibited and Correctional Services minister Ronald Lamaola explained why.

“In the house or in the family, it is an unregulated space where anything is happening,” Lamola said.

“It is a difficult environment to deal with and manage. It is also this space that has also created the loophole of the private parties in the houses and private spaces and various platforms that has led to some of the spark in the various parts of the country.
