South Africa now has 1 674 COVID-19 deaths, says Ramaphosa

President Cyril Ramaphosa on Wednesday evening announced that South Africa now had 80,412 active COVID-19 cases, with 1,674 deaths.

Ramaphosa is currently addressing the nation on developments in the country’s risk-adjusted strategy to manage the spread of COVID-19.

His address follows a number of meetings of the Cabinet, the national coronavirus command Council, and the presidential coordinating council.
