COVID-19 cases in South Africa have increased by 19,842. Gauteng continues to be the hotspot with 11,703 new infections.
It’s followed by KwaZulu-Natal with 1,989 cases, the Western Cape on 1,899 new infections and Mpumalanga with 1,103 new cases.
The positivity rate sits at 26.8 percent. Sadly, 36 people have died due to Covid-19 complications. The death toll now sits at 90,038.
