1 147 new COVID-19 cases recorded in SA

South Africa has recorded 1,147 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours.

418 of those were identified in Gauteng with 259 in KwaZulu Natal and 236 in the Western Cape.

All other provinces recorded less than 100 new cases.

No deaths were reported on Sunday.

In the past two years, the country has seen more than three million positive cases and almost 100,000 people have died.
