18 847 new COVID-19 cases, 81 deaths recorded in SA
The National Institute for Communicable Diseases reported 18,847 new infections in the last 24 hours.
KwaZulu-Natal recorded the most with over 4,815 new cases.
It’s followed closely by the Western Cape, with over 4,600 cases.
Gauteng recorded over 3,000 infections.
Limpopo, North West, Northern Cape, Mpumalanga as well as Free State had under a thousand cases.
The positivity rate stands at 29.4-percent.
Sadly, 81 more people have died.
