5 683 new COVID-19 cases recorded in SA

The National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) reported 5,683 COVID-19 new cases in South Africa.
The NICD reported 243 more COVID-19 deaths, bringing the death toll to 70,018.
Gauteng has 1,559 positives cases, while the Western Cape has 1,192.
