Premier Zikalala: KZN ready and prepared for COVID-19 3rd wave

KwaZulu-Natal Premier Sihle Zikalala says his province is ready for the third wave of Covid-19.

He says they have revisited educational programs and prevention campaigns.

“We are ready, firstly we have started resuscitating educational programs that will create awareness on prevention and we are still and we still pushing or appealing that let us all embrace the non-pharmaceutical preventative measure,” he said.

Zikalala also says that they have established vaccination centres in each district because vaccinations will be administered by districts.

“Our plan for phase two includes vaccination in mass centres where we cater for the elderly and front line workers of various departments, we are doing so per district, and in each district, we have vaccination centres that have been established.”

Lindiwe Fassie, the older sister to the late songstress Brenda, has passed away. According to her brother Themba Fassie (65), Lindiwe was sick for some time but she would sometimes get better.
