Couple engages in KFC outlet, promised surprise by the fast-food giant. A proposal in KFC-South African Twitter was left in a frenzy after KFC South Africa posted a video clip of a man getting down on his knees in one of its food outlets.

The man pulled an almost similar-famous Chicken Inn proposal experience showing that contrary to popular belief, South Africans are also romantic. In other news: Christmas came early this year for some criminally inclined South Africans after a truck transporting some plasma television sets was stuck on the road following an accident. Following the accident, the criminally inclined part of South Africa’s population saw an opportunity too good to pass up and proceed to loot the television sets.

Some have highlighted the social inequality in South Africa as one of the major motivations for looting which seems prevalent in the country. Some parts of the population seem ready and eager to loot and steal if given the chance.

The Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) on Thursday said they were supporting AfriForum on solving former Bafana Bafana captain, Senzo Meyiwa‘s murder case.

AfriForum on Tuesday appointed advocate Gerrie Nel, head of AfriForum’s private prosecution unit as Meyiwa’s family advocate in the investigation into his murder. Meyiwa was shot dead five years ago in the house of his girlfriend, Kelly Khumalo, in Vosloorus, east of Johannesburg. Read more
