3 councillors killed in KZN since June
Two suspects have been arrested in connection with the gunning down of ANC councillor, Mabhungu Mkhize’s murder according to Kwa-Zulu Natal police spokesperson, Robert Netshiunda.
Mkhize was shot and killed on Friday afternoon.
He is the third councillor to be killed in Northern KZN since June.
Netshiunda said, “two suspects were seen at the crime scene shooting at the vehicle, killing the councillor and injuring another person, two people were arrested so if there is any other person that will be uncovered in our investigations…when we are investigating, we might find that there were not only three but more people, but two were seen at the crime scene and two were arrested.”
