Coronavirus: DIRCO continues to assist South Africans stranded abroad

The repatriation of South Africans who are stranded across the world is continuing. The International Relations and Cooperation Department says 80 South Africans were brought back from Rome on Saturday.
They’ve been taken to quarantine centres in Gauteng and will remain there until cleared by health professionals.
The department says the process of repatriation is tougher due to widespread travel restrictions.
Over 600 South Africans have been repatriated, and the department is calling on those still abroad to be patient, as it continues to negotiate to have them brought back.
