Moonchild Sanelly tells jealous artists her collaboration with Beyonce was not a favour

When it was revealed that musicians Moonchild Sanelly and Busiswa had collaborated with American artist Beyoncé on her Lion King: The Gift album not everyone was happy for them. This has come to light after Moonchild lashed out at those unnamed artists that think the collaboration was a ‘favour’. In a now-deleted tweet, the muso told them where to get off.

“F**k artists that say we got the Beyoncé as favour! F**k your bitterness b*****s that didn’t get chosen! We worked out added off for am entire year in silence! Go lick ur wounds somewhere else and learn to congratulate bad b*****s that put u on the map!!! B***H!!! [sic],” she tweeted.

In an interview on MacG’s podcast Moonchild revealed how she got the collaboration. After the Global Citizen Concert, I was with Beyoncé’s ‘eyes’, Quincy, we went around Joburg I showed him different artists in SA. The surprise was them choosing my song after I was so open about every other artist,” she said. After a year of working on Beyoncé’s project without saying a word, the muso was thrilled to finally let the world know what she’s been up to.

“I have no words to explain and express my gratitude for being one of the chosen ones for the @lionking soundtrack by my ultimate favorite artist in the world @Beyoncé y’all. Anyone who knows me or googles interviews has heard me say one day I’ll work with the Queen!! They laughed, laugh now. Dreams come true and nothing is impossible,” Moonchild posted on her Instagram.
