Western Cape disaster management teams on high alert as another cold front hits

Another cold front slammed into the Western Cape overnight, bringing with it heavy rains and potential flooding.
Disaster management teams are on high alert and as of this hour, Chapmans Peak Drive is officially closed.
Recent floods have killed two people and affected various communities, with Citrusdal being the hardest hit.
Some roads there remain closed, and authorities are warning motorists not to travel through the area.
Agriculture MEC Ivan Meyer is expected to give an update on the impact of the floods on the agriculture sector.
The West Coast District Municipality Mayor will also outline relief and support interventions.
