Introduction
The role holder will be responsible to attend to the management of claims with the aim of increasing the revenue due to the company by recovering monies from third parties. End-to-end negotiation handling of the claims – pre-litigation. Attorney management.

Effective processing of claims
Prioritise daily activities to enable processing and maintenance of all claims
Check the accuracy of registered claims cover details and add claimant details timeously
Confirm estimate is accurate, deducting excess to work out estimate of claim through investigating policy cover
Complete fraud list and Identify claims that requires further fraud verification
Ensure computer generated letter is forwarded to relevant broker
Liaise with stakeholders to gather and ensure accuracy of information
Process recovery claims in order to secure a fair settlement ensuring that Efficiency, Productivity and superior Customer Service are shown.
Answer telephone and email queries from the brokers, based on updated logs
Update data and notes on operation system
Finalise claim as per standard – Update log – Update broker – Finalise on Codeplex/ Tia and/or financial system
Collaborate and work closely together with others thereby leveraging constructive team dynamics and innovation
Be aware of capacity building initiatives (i.e. development programmes, training, mentorship, coaching etc.)

Liaise with internal stakeholders to facilitate problem resolution and efficiency of work activities
Communicate with stakeholders on a daily basis to inform of progress of claims and claim policy and procedure
Deal with and resolve any queries relevant to area; if unable to resolve, escalate to manager for resolution
Represent the organization through maintaining high levels of professionalism, service excellence and customer excellence
Adhere to internal policies, processes and procedures

Effective adherence to company claims policy, standards and SLA
Ensure adherence to all company policies at all times
Ensure adherence to negotiated flexi hours
Maintain dress code, behaviour and absenteeism

Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Matric (Preferable with Degree)
2 years debt collecting experience
Paralegal / Legal Degree would be advantageous

All Claims Departments, Sales and Underwriting.

Brokers, Clients, All Claims Suppliers and Service Providers, Other insurance companies

Knowledge
Sound knowledge, experience and understanding of short-term insurance
