Activists accuse City of Cape Town of closing clinics

The closure of community clinics in the Western Cape has been being slammed by health NGOs, who say the public will suffer.

But the City of Cape Town says it’s merely combining resources so that communities can be better served.

However, some health activists say they haven’t been consulted.

Activists say they’re planning a sit-in later this month at the city’s civic centre to protest these closures.
