No load shedding on Christmas day

Eskom will suspend power cuts from 5 am tomorrow until 5 am on Monday morning.

After that, Stage 2 outages will be implemented until 4 pm on Tuesday.

The power utility says Stage 3 will then be implemented thereafter.

Eskom says the suspension of power outages on Christmas day is due to lower demand for electricity.

The embattled utility is however appealing to the public to use electricity sparingly during this period or outages would have to be implemented at short notice.
