The Health Department says 43 people have died from the cholera outbreak.
But this figure includes confirmed and suspected cases.
In total, the country has recorded more than a thousand suspected cases, with around 197 laboratory-confirmed.
Gauteng accounts for 89% of these cases, with others from the Free State, North West, Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
The department says it has put measures in place to prevent person-to-person transmissions.
It also says further interventions will continue to be implemented to reduce the chance of more infections.
