Declarations of intent with 2 Chinese construction entities will help SA build its capabilities, says Macpherson

Minister of Public Works Dean Macpherson has committed to build South Africa and create thousands of jobs.
This comes after he signed two declarations of intent with two Chinese construction entities in China on Friday.
The minister was part of the delegation that accompanied President Cyril Ramaphosa on his state visit to China this week.
The China Communications Construction Company and ASI Global are two companies identified by the minister to help with construction expertise and development of infrastructure.

According to Macpherson, the partnership will help in his commitment as a minister to turn South Africa into a construction site.
“The CCCC and ASI Global are two very important players in their respective fields, and the declarations of intent means that we can now invite them to make their expertise available to help develop our infrastructure and construction capabilities as well as the skills that we need in order to do so,” said Macpherson.
