Chinese ambassador briefs SA on coronavirus – Video
The coronavirus outbreak has caused alarm worldwide. The death toll from a new coronavirus jumped above 360 on Monday.
Chinese ambassador to South Africa, Lin Songtian, will brief the media on measures taken by Beijing to deal with the deadly global outbreak.
South African authorities insist there are no suspected or confirmed cases in the country yet.
The World Health Organisation has requested for South Africa to be a reference point in the continent for further tests to be done.
A suspected case has been reported in Namibia and four suspected cases are being investigated in Botswana.
