When he is not trying to fill up stadiums, he is performing around the country, signing mega endorsement deals, travelling the world and releasing chart-toppers like it’s nothing.
But what Cassper, real name Refilwe Phoolo, has come to realize is that simply attaining your dreams and having nice things like fame and fortune, isn’t really what defines success.
A lot of successful people have spoken about how we all assume that living your dream life, having the car and the house, travelling and becoming famous for your work will serve your need for fulfilment. But that is not always the case.
Becoming a pan-African superstar has also taught Cassper Nyovest that very same lesson.
Cassper Nyovest says he now defines success by the number of people he’s managed to pull up with him on his journey to the top, a lesson he says, was taught to him by famed Mostwako rapper, Jabulani ‘HHP’ Tsambo.
“A wise man called HHP once told me that your success in the game isn’t measured by how successful you are but by how many people you’ve put on. Every time I see videos like this, I feel proud of what Family Tree have created with Nadia Nakai,” he tweeted.
He tweeted this along with a video of Nadia Nakai’s fans losing their minds as she performs on stage.
Nadia did agree that Cassper indeed played a huge role in her success.
“Thank you for changing my life Cass,” she said, to which Cassper responded:” You deserve everything ma. Hard worker!!! Your hunger is admirable”.
Cassper is currently on a mission to Fill Up Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on 01 December 2018.
