4 227 new COVID-19 cases recorded in SA
4,227 new cases have been reported in the last 24 hours.
Gauteng is leading in infections with 1,322 new cases.
It’s followed by the Western Cape with 920 new infections.
KwaZulu-Natal has recorded 665 cases.
The Eastern Cape is sitting on 478 infections and Free State is on 272 cases.
The rest of the provinces recorded less than 200 infections.
Sadly, 14 more people have died due to COVID-19-related complications in the last 24 to 48 hours.
26,947 tests have been conducted, representing a positivity rate of 15.7-percent.
