8 179 new COVID-19 cases recorded in SA

The NICD said 8,179 new COVID-19 cases have been recorded.
Gauteng is still leading infections with 3,119 cases.
The Western Cape is second with 1,753 and KwaZulu-Natal recorded 1,215 new cases.
Sadly, 18 more people have died but the death toll has increased by 41 due to the ongoing audit.
The total fatalities are 100,867 to date.
