SA COVID-19 – Cases increase to 373 268

The number of confirmed COVID-19 infections in South Africa has climbed to 373,628.

The National Department of Health reported an additional 8,940 confirmed cases in the country.

A total of 140 new deaths have been reported, bringing the death toll to 5,173.

The department said the number of recoveries stands at 194,865 which translates to a recovery rate of 52 percent.

The total number of tests conducted to date is 2,505,646 with 33,899 new tests conducted since the last report.

Wits University has no record of a Nokwanda Ndlovu ever being a registered student at the institution, registrar Carol Crosley said on Monday.
