Cape Town police arrest 3 men for illegal possession of firearms, ammo & drugs

At least three suspects were nabbed by the Anti-Gang Unit, amid a spate of ongoing gun attacks in a number of communities in the Mother City.
On Monday, two men were arrested on charges of the possession of prohibited firearms, ammunition, and drugs, while another man was detained on a charge of murder.
Officers deployed to the Kleinvlei policing precinct arrested a 26-year-old man following the discovery of a firearm hidden under a cupboard.
At different premises, a suspect was found in possession of a firearm, ammunition, and a consignment of drugs.
The police’s Joseph Swartbooi: “Meanwhile, a group of known gang members were removed from the street for the purpose of profiling. The process proved to be successful as the police arrested and detained a 31-year-old male on a charge of murder, which occurred on Saturday.”
