Cape Town doctors hopeful after receiving COVID-19 vaccine

Private GPs in the Western Cape are excited now that they’ve received the COVID-19 vaccine. Over 1,200 health workers had been inoculated in the province by Sunday. About 500 private health workers were inoculated at Grootte Schuur Hospital and Tygerberg Hospital on Sunday.
This weekend and next weekend have been set aside for the private sector – with workers from across the province coming to Cape Town for the vaccinations. The vaccine centre at Grootte Schuur has been abuzz with activity over the last few days.
The first phase of the vaccine rollout sees health workers in the public, private and traditional sectors getting inoculated, including students and community health workers.
