Family devastated after cannibalistic murder of grandmother

The KwaDambuza community in Pietermaritzburg is reeling following the cannibalistic murder of an elderly woman.

Just a few weeks ago, Nontombini Shange’s family was celebrating the milestone of her 92nd birthday, now they are preparing for her funeral.

Shange was stabbed to death and her body parts eaten, allegedly by her grandson. She was stabbed over a 5-hour period.

Police are investigating a case of murder.
