The ANC says it’s National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting this weekend won’t discuss calls for Public Enterprises Minister Pravin Gordhan to be sacked. The country’s state-owned enterprises are expected to be put under the microscope with a special focus on the crisis at Eskom.
This after the resignation of Eskom board chairperson Jabu Mabuza and calls from Cosatu that Gordhan be taken to task.
In a written reply to a Parliamentary question, Gordhan defended government’s involvement in the running of the power utility as within its rights.
