Major cable theft bust in Tshwane
Three people have been arrested after copper cable with a street value of nearly R1-million was discovered by the Tshwane Metro Police.
During routine patrols, the officers spotted a truck carrying scrap metals.
The truck was searched and underneath the scrap metals they discovered bags full of suspected stolen copper cables.
Cable theft is frequently behind power outages.
