Police union welcomes budget allocation

Police union Ipusa has welcomed Minister Bheki Cele’s budget vote.
Over R1.8-billion has been set aside for visible policing.
Mpho Kwinika said, “one point R8-billion adding to the budget issues to Vispol. You will recall in the financial year 2022/23 the minister of police has been having imbizos to deal with crime.”
“He found out that there’s a shortage in manpower and vehicles. The president said he will give him more money and modernize call centres and improve the relationship with communities…the budget seeks to address the problems which were pressing to South Africans.”
