Please stop the killing – Nosicelo Mtebeni’s family breaks at funeral

An emotional morning in Matatiele in the Eastern Cape where Fort Hare student Nosicelo Mtebeni was laid to rest on Saturday morning.
The final-year law student was brutally murdered in a house in East London in August.
Family representative Patrick Mtebeni pleaded with families to unite and avoid a divided nation.
He said people must come together and stop killing each other.
“From today let’s make a vow that this will never happen again. We saw and heard how she was brutally killed,” he told mourners.
“Our families must come together. The foundation of any good nation begins within family structures.
“If we destroy families there’s no nation. Let’s unite and not divide families, that can only lead to a broken nation.”
Mtebeni’s friends also bid her a final farewell.
They described the 23-year-old student as a bubbly person who never wanted to see them sad.
But they were not able to hold back the tears.
Fort Hare Dean Lufuno Tshikhudu said Mtebeni was destined to be a Constitutional Court Justice.
He said she would have achieved her dream, being one of the brightest students.
