Another day, another rumour proven to be false! It was rumoured that Amapiano pioneer Kabza de Small and his wife who he paid lobola for, broke up after he allegedly cheated on her. Well, to prove that this is nothing more than a rumour, his wife Kamogelo ‘Geloo’ Moropa took to Instagram to deliver a rather subtle message.
What sparked this rumour was apparently a video made by YouTuber Nicole Maleka who claimed that she was in a relationship with Kabza De Small, even during his lobola negotiations. Nicole, who is also Heavy K’s ex-girlfriend said she was left devastated when she heard that Kabza had paid lobola to Kamo.
She said to her friend Kween Lelo, ”It did break me. Chomi you are my witness. I was literally in ICU at the time.”
Twitter blogger Musa Khawula then claimed their ‘marriage’ was over due to these allegations.
“Runout [rumour] has it Kabza de Small and his fiancé Kamogelo Moropa have split. This comes 6 months after Kabza de Small paid amalobolo,” he wrote.
But Kamogelo just debunked these claims when she posted an Instagram photo of herself and called herself ‘a wife.’
In 2021, a close friend of his broke the news of his marriage to TrueLove, saying that is the reason he wears isiphandla, a traditional wrist band. This is to let other people know that he is married. The publication also reported that Kabza got down on one knee in September 2021.
“He has been wearing two iziphandla on his wrists since the end of last month. He is not posting his wife because that’s something they agreed on. Kamo, on the other hand, posted a picture of herself in traditional attire and tagged him…Kamo has also always kept a low profile and because of the pressure that comes with being in the public eye, the couple has decided to keep this private,” the source was quoted as saying.
