Bournemouth’s run of three league and cup victories was halted by south coast neighbours Southampton, who avoided a fourth straight Premier League defeat in a relatively dull draw at Vitality Stadium.
Southampton’s best opportunities fell to Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg who twice tested home goalkeeper Asmir Begovic from distance.
Joshua King was unable to make the most of a Jefferson Lerma cross in the second half as he headed wide, before the Norway forward poked wide from Wilson’s pass later on.
