Former NPA boss Nxasana to testify at #StateCaptureInquiry

Former NPA boss, Mxolisi Nxasana, looks set to testify at the state capture inquiry on Wednesday. It’s not yet clear what his testimony will focus on.
But it’s fair to say, Nxasana has a troubled history with the National Prosecuting Authority. He received a golden handshake after leaving the prosecuting body.
That package was worth around R10-million, after tax. Former president Jacob Zuma took the decision to remove Nxasana.
The Constitutional Court ruled that the decision was, in fact, invalid. It also ruled that his successor, Shaun Abrahams, shouldn’t have been appointed to the role. Nxasana’s been ordered to pay back the money.
