Bosasa corruption case postponed

Court proceedings, in the corruption case against former Correctional Services’ public officials and Bosasa executives, have been postponed to late November.

Former Correctional Services Commissioner, Linda Mti, CFO, Patrick Gillingham, and former-Bosasa CFO Andries van Tonder appeared in the Specialised Crimes Court in connection with the R1.6 billion tender corruption case on Friday.

Their co-accused, Bosasa executive Angelo Agrizzi was not in court.

Agrizzi, who was denied bail on Wednesday, is unlikely to make it to court due to ill health.

He was admitted to a hospital on Thursday.

They face multiple charges relating to money laundering, corruption, fraud, and conspiracy to commit fraud.

The case was postponed to 26 November, due to Agrizzi’s hospitalization.
