Prasa assessing damage to rail line following Boksburg blast

The Germiston-Springs railway line is not operating due to the gas tanker explosion in Boksburg.

Prasa is currently assessing the damage.

The rail agency says its engineers are looking at the scope of work needed to restore operations.

It’s expected to release a report soon.

The line is also one of the ten corridors planned for recovery in the next financial year.

At least 10 people died when an LP gas tanker exploded beneath a bridge on Saturday.
