2 bodies found washed up on the beach

Two bodies were found washed up between Reunion and Cuttings beaches yesterday morning, January 10.

Authorities were alerted in the early hours of the morning that an unidentified woman’s body had been discovered on the beach north of the Umlazi canal. Andre Beetge, executive committee member of the eThekwini Municipality council, said that during the woman’s recovery process, they had found a second unidentified male body approximately 1km from the located woman’s body.

Beetge said the relevant authorities have been alerted, and an inquest docket will be registered for an investigation.
