Bloomberg names Maps Maponyane’s burger joint as the best in Africa
Maps Maponyane keeps on winning. Last year, the media personality embarked on a new business venture when he opened up ‘Buns Out’ – his brand-new burger joint in Linden. The restaurant has become such a success that the star opened up a restaurant in Durban earlier this year and now, Bloomberg has called ‘Buns Out’ one of the best burger restaurants in the world.
The publication published their list of The World’s Best Burgers as Picked by Stars of Gastronomy. The list includes restaurants from around the world chosen by Michelin-star chefs and other culinary experts from around the world.
This particular list explores a variety of burgers from fast-food restaurants to five-star establishments. Local culinary star Lorna Maseko chose the restaurant to be a part of the list and had some beautiful things to say about the restaurant.
“This new joint in suburban Linden is the first of actor and TV celebrity Maps Maponyane. It has attracted a lot of media attention. There are about a dozen burgers, including vegetarian and vegan options. Quirky names include Is It Brie You’re Looking For?” she says. Have you been to Buns Out?
