Bheki Cele praises police after foiled KZN robbery

Police Minister, Bheki Cele, has praised officers who killed nine suspects, linked to a foiled robbery in Isipingo, south of Durban.
Cele says the police must be supported in the fight against dangerous and armed criminals.
A 29-year-old suspect has been arrested.
Members of the crime intelligence, task force, and K9 units pounced on a gang of would-be robbers on Saturday morning.
This followed a tip-off about a planned robbery at a business premises in the area.
Unlicensed firearms, explosives, and tools used for breaking and entering were recovered at the scene.

Gauteng: At 17H19 Saturday late afternoon Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on the R54 Villiers Road in Vereeniging. Reports from the scene indicate that a light motor vehicle and a passenger transport H1 bus were involved in a head-on collision.
Medics assessed the scene and found that two adult females from the car and an adult male had sustained serious injuries and required Advanced Life Support intervention to stabilise them. continue reading
