South African film and TV stars were celebrated and honoured at the 13th annual Saftas ceremony held at Sun City.

On Saturday the 2nd of March, the nation’s biggest television stars all converged on the Sun City Superbowl for the 13th annual South African Film and Television Awards!

The prestigious awards are the biggest night in television so the looks have to match, right? Well everyone definitely tried to pull out their best clothes from the back of their wardrobe to really rock the red carpet! Here’s our picks for Best Dressed!

Sindi Dlathu

The living icon came through in style to come see if her hit show, The River, will win those whopping 17 nominations. She looked beautiful, as always. Her natural hair was tied up into a bun, the right decision given those massive shoulder ruffles. We asked for drama and she gave it.

Jo-anne Reyneke

The SAFTAs award winning Actress gave us exactly what we needed by opting for her suit. She went for a simple classic brown suit with sneakers and a bolo tie. Her hair was the perfect braid style with matching beads. Her partner also rocked a suit in complimentary yellow. A stand out moment on the carpet.

Penny Lebyane

The veteran presenter came ready to slay. She went with this boldly printed mermaid dress. The fit has her figure looking absolutely incredible. Her hair is gorgeous. Her makeup too! And the colour makes her skin pop. She hit all the marks tonight

Linda Mtoba

This is a red carpet fave! Linda is always one to see and this is no different. She came in this vintage inspired look, she definitely drew inspiration from the old Hollywood stars of the early 1900’s. She captured their sophisticated elegance perfectly!

Pearl Modiadie

Of course tonight’s host couldn’t let us catch her slipping! She looks sublime in this beaded nude illusion gown.

It’s not an easy style to pull off and honestly doesn’t have the greatest track record on the red carpet. But this? There is literally flawless!! 10/10!!
