Ben Stokes takes a stunning catch to dismiss Andile Phehlukwayo #CWC2019

England all-rounder Ben Stokes pulled off a stunning catch in the opening match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 against South Africa.

The hosts beat South Africa by 104 runs at The Oval as Stokes shone with the bat and ball, but it was his brilliance in the field that grabbed the headlines.

Andile Phehlukwayo looked to have hit Adil Rashid’s ball for a maximum before an incredible catch from Stokes at deep midwicket.

The 27-year-old launched himself through the air and managed to grab the ball one-handed before kicking it away and celebrating in front of the Oval crowd.

Earlier, England set South Africa a total of 311 in the World Cup opener with Stokes scoring an impressive 79-ball 89.
