Sassa wants Former Social Development Minister Bathabile Dlamini to pay

Former Social Development Minister Bathabile Dlamini‘s pension has been held. It is understood Sassa wants the money to go towards repaying for VIP protection services for Dlamini’s family.
The agency has approached the court in an effort to recover just over R2-million from Dlamini and former CEO Virginia Petersen.
Sassa also seeks the court’s assistance in recovering just over R1.4-million from Petersen and former Social Development spokesperson Lumka Oliphant.
