Bandile Masuku challenges SIU findings

Former Gauteng Health MEC Bandile Masuku is challenging allegations of corruption in court on Thursday.

The High Court in Pretoria heard arguments in his challenge to the Special Investigation Unit report on PPE corruption.

The SIU found that Masuku failed in his duties to conduct oversight of spending on personal protective equipment tenders.

He wants these findings to be reviewed, saying they are unlawful and invalid.

The report also led to his axing.
