SA Crime: Hawks ballistically test dozens of firearms

The Hawks have discovered at least 100 firearms are missing from the evidence store at the Norwood Police Station in Johannesburg.
That’s according to sources close to the investigation that started more than a month ago.
eNCA revealed last month that firearms that were supposed to have been locked up at the police station were being recovered in the hands of criminals.
Investigators have started the process to ballistically test all the firearms booked into the evidence store.
