KwaZulu-Natal: At 19H10 Saturday night Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Westmead Drive in Westmead Durban West region.
Reports from the scene indicate that the driver of a light delivery vehicle lost control resulting in the vehicle leaving the road crashing into a woman standing at a gate at her place of employment.
The woman had sustained critical injuries and was treated on scene by a Netcare 911 Emergency Care Practitioner.
Due to the nature of the patients’ injuries the Netcare 5 specialized helicopter ambulance was activated to airlift her to a specialist facility for the care she required.
The driver of the bakkie, an adult male was not injured in the collision.
All necessary authorities were on the scene.
