Nandipha Magudumana’s lawyer mum on bail steps

Nandipha Magudumana’s lawyer has refused to confirm whether his client will apply for bail before her next court appearance next month.

Magudumana has not made a formal bail application.

She appeared virtually at the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday and her matter has been postponed to 20 June.

Also in court was Magudumana’s father Zolile Sekeleni, G4S prison warders Senohe Matsoara, Tieho Makhotsa and Anastassja Jansen, CCTV technician Tebogo Lipholo and Buty Masemola.

They face charges of aiding and abetting Bester’s brazen prison escape last year.

The five former G4S employees are continuing with their bail applications.
