Senzo Meyiwa murder accused makes urgent bail application

An urgent bail application by accused number two in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial is expected to be heard on Thursday.
Bongani Ntanzi is the only one of the five accused who does not have a criminal record or a pending case against him.
His lawyer believes exceptional circumstances exist for him to be released.
The 32-year-old maintains he’s being framed for the soccer star’s death.
State witness Tumelo Madlala — who was in the house on the night of the murder, identified Ntanzi as one of the intruders. The trial is due to resume in November.
