Prasa insists it’s back on track

Prasa is adamant the country’s rail system is back on track.

The agency has reopened the corridor between Leralla and Germiston in Gauteng.

But the reopening does come at hefty price tag.

Prasa has spent billions on fixing the tracks, trains, and other infrastructure while also deploying security to ensure the corridors aren’t vandalized.

Commuters have expressed the need for trains to be operating and are calling on Prasa to get all corridors working.

The Transport Department has assured South Africans that it is on the road to recovery.

Prasa, along with Transport Minister Sindisie Chikunga, is hoping increased security will help prevent further vandalism and theft.
