Video: Babes Wodumo appears in court
Last week, a warrant for the singer’s arrest had been issued after Babes and company were accused of assaulting a woman during a house party in March.
The woman assaulted had since opened a case against Babes Wodumo and sister who were involved in the incident.
As a result of the assault, Babes and her sister were due to appear in court last week Friday but failed to do so, the prosecutor then issued a warrant of arrest for both of the accused which was eventually granted.
On Monday afternoon, Babes and her sister managed to make an appearance at the Durban Magistrate Court, the sisters were found guilty of contempt of court and were fined R1,000 or 30 days in jail.

Social media has since reacted to the news with some rather hilarious comments.
One user was rather disappointed at Babes Wodumo’s outfit and felt that her publicist could’ve helped the Gqom Queen in looking presentable for her court appearance.
So Babes Wodumo's publicist couldn't get her to wear a black suit, white blouse, stilettos, slicked back hair, Jackie Os, a handbag for her court appearance? Did they even BOTHER with how she was going to look for her appearance today? This could have been a pop culture MOMENT!

We’re sure Babes can afford to pay this R1,000 fine, after all it’s better than being arrested for an entire month.
